Permission in Principle (PiP) is a process in which initial plans and reports are submitted to the local planning authority (LPA) in order to gauge whether proposals would be deemed suitable. This form of planning permission can be used to get idea of whether a particular development would receive planning approval, in the most cost-effective and timely way.
